“ Great concept, simple design... best example of developer error and manipulation ruining a game for F2P gamers... If you game a lot you’re probably familiar with updates that buff and nerf certain cards or characters. This game manages to do it in a way that is obvious to the point where someone should investigate them for illegitimate business practices. You play (and sometimes) pay, to collect the “best” cards in the game only to have better cards released in the next update. There is no limit to how many times they can, or will, do this. Now, they have begun to release challenges that require you to build certain cars in a very specific (and illogical for overall performance) way, simply to win one race. Developers said, months ago, that they would be adding a feature that allowed people to change their builds. It’s my belief that they realized how much that idea would negatively affect their ability to monetize the game, as we have yet to see that feature, or hear another mention of it. The most recent update completely changed the point values of all the cars in the game. For anyone who bothered to do the math, they increased the size of all the “prize” pools. This pushed loads of lower value cars into higher quality tiers, allowing developers to treat inferior cars as superior prizes. The end result is that you have to be even more lucky to get the cars you need to play at a fun/remotely competitive level. To top it all off, there are countless incidences of developer error that completely devalue the very system they are attempting to create. For example: Many people win double prizes from certain events. The extra prizes aren’t taken back from those players, and compensation is rarely offered to those who did the exact same thing and received only one prize. Some people end up with zero entry requirements in high-value tournaments, allowing them to win prizes without holding them to the same vehicle restrictions. This literally just happened in the last 48 hours, in their newest challenge (written 5/29/20). The community is furious; very little is being done in terms of consolation. This game is being destroyed by developers creating content for those who want to pay, and offering very little to those who don’t. I’m very up-to-date in forums about this game... it’s shameful when so many people who’ve invested years into a game, are so displeased by countless issues. Stat manipulation, challenge manipulation, entry requirement mishaps and an overall failure to compensate people when the developers make a mistake show poor management of a great idea. For me, the latest update is the last nail in the coffin. It’s shady, predatory business when a company can charge you real money for something that they can change the value of after you purchase it. Genius, but shady! I’m telling you, if someone looks into this stuff, it’s only a matter of time before someone shuts some of these businesses down. If you still decide to play this game, don’t pay them any money. You’re welcome!
